Sewing

So Charlie bought me a sewing machine back in June for my birthday. I was SO excited, I've wanted one for a long time now. Well I got all of the mending done. Then worked on some small projects, and then I made toddler boy ties for my store. They turned out so cute! I made Mack a new tag blanket for her to take to MDO. I was on a roll! Well Christmas time started coming up and I started seeing a lot of boutiques making Christmas dresses. And of course me and my crafty addiction says 'I can make that!' knowing full well that the only clothes I'd ever made were a pair of pj pants. Pj pants that my Granny Franny helped me make to teach me how to sew. And I guess I forgot that I had sewn the leg holes together and my pj pants became some weird double legged skirt! Oops! So off to the craft store I went. I even picked out a pattern that said 'It's so easy' right on the front. So I made her a cute little Christmas dress! And guess what it turned out to be a dress!

Well then my craftiness went crazy and I couldn't just make one dress, no no, I had to make three! Haha well now she has some cute new dresses that will be just hers! And I'm searching for a new pattern to make a different style dress. Off to pinterest I go!

One other sewing craft I was seeing everywhere was this Christmas Tree shirt. I took a shirt that was a hand-me-down that she had never worn and a bunch of ribbon scraps I had in my personal stash. With a couple of straight stitches, and some fabric glue this is what I came up with! Pretty cute and free!
